The Swiftiana Group was started in late 2015, by a group of close friends who enjoy the works of Mr. Jonathan Swift. The Group has since swelled to welcome members of the community and other book club attendees, with the ultimate goal of reading, discussing and analyzing the works of Swift. Comparisons are also done between Swift and more current authors. The members of the Swiftiana Group ultimately just want to share their admiration for the Anglo-Irish satirical poet. Meetings are held at the Group leader’s home, where snacks and refreshments are shared. Occasionally, guest speakers are invited to share their views on chosen topics relating to Swift and his life.
